Is Winter A Good Time to Buy New Construction?

The prospect of moving, whether buying an existing home or constructing a new one is a process. While there is much soul searching to do to determine your path, we believe that there is no better time to start the process than in the winter. If new construction is a direction you wish to explore there are numerous reasons for starting the process early.

Let’s start backwards, with the end in mind. The building process from the time that your builder “breaks ground” is approximately 6 months, sometimes as short as 4 months. Prior to that moment, there is a lot of planning and decision making that needs to happen, all of which takes time.

You need to learn about the process of new construction so that you can decide if it s right for you. For example,

Where do  you want to build and specifically which lot you want?
What do you want to build?
How much are you able to spend on your build?
Who do you need to talk(consult) with the make those decision?
Do you have house plans?
