Swimming in January, Anyone?

Looking for winter activities in an around Southwick? Normally by now, ice fishing or skating on Congamond Lakes would be well underway. However, Mother Nature in gifting us some bonus warm weather days has postponed those activities at least for now. Stay tuned, this is New England.

In the meantime, did you know that you can swim indoors at Wilderness Experiences Unlimited  in Southwick.  Check their schedule for swimming lessons as well.

And if you are in the mood to take an outdoor January swim and help to raise funds at the same time, you might want to consider Amelia Park’s annual  Penguin Plunge at Hampton Ponds in Westfield on January 2oth. If taking a dip in the icy water doesn’t appeal to you, it is definitely a great fun event for all of the spectators.
